"Truthfully, this is probably one of the best dental offices around. I haven’t been to the dentist in over a decade, and Kate, who I saw, was very kind and understanding. The chair was very comfortable and it was nice to look at photos of her doggos too instead of an ominous ceiling light. They had coffee and water and fidgets for those who needed them. I highly recommend this office and they do a great job with cleanings!"

"Stunned!! I had treatment completed to help with acne and scarring..my first session went so well and I noticed a big difference! My significant other made a comment a few weeks after my first procedure - “are you wearing makeup” - when I had none on..my face had cleared so well! I’ve struggled with adult/hormonal acne and so far (between topical, oral medicine, and expensive face washes) laser treatment has worked the best. 2nd treatment completed today and I cannot wait for the results!"

"I have been delighted with the care received from Dr. Odens. She caught a problem with a tooth before there were any symptoms, and her timely advice meant the tooth could be saved. She then brought my attention to problems with mouth breathing that, again, I didn't know I had: those problems have been resolved easily with great results. She and her staff are very gentle and cause me no anxiety or minimal "tensing up" when my teeth are being examined and cleaned. 5 stars!"

"Terry D. I've been reluctant and terrified to go to the dentist due to traumatic childhood dental experiences. I would only go to the dentist when absolutely necessary! I discussed my fears with Dr Odens and she really listened, and together we came up with a plan. She takes her time, explains what she's going to do, and checks in during procedures to make sure you are okay. When administering novacaine her needlework is gentle. I'm always skeptical, dentists say it won't hurt but it does. She made a believer out of me! Plus the entire office loves my wife's guide dog! Nobody loves the dentist but Doctor Odens is the least hated dentist in Saint Paul!"

However, I was immediately put at ease as I started talking with Kelly and Dr. Carley about my plan of care. Kelly took the time to carefully and thoroughly clean my teeth - my mouth was not sore at all despite the amount of cleaning she had to do. "From the moment I started talking with Ellen over the phone to get my first appointment scheduled, I knew I made the right decision to change dentists. Ellen was incredibly pleasant over the phone and honestly left me with a sigh of relief at how easy she made the scheduling process. At my appointment yesterday, I walked into the office and was immediately greeted with conversation from Ellen and even Dr. Carley Odens as she sat in the lobby and got to know me while I filled out my paperwork. At the end of my visit, Ellen helped explain how my insurance works and made sure I had no questions when I left. The dental hygienist Kelly was great with gentle cleaning and very compassionate about a sore area. They even offer Bluetooth headphones to listen to music or podcasts while getting your cleaning. And Dr. Carley, oh my goodness. She was absolutely amazing. I loved my previous dentist, but she blew my expectations of what a dentist appointment should be like out the window. Very personable, understanding, and just easy to talk to. No one judged me for my dental habits and I truly felt like the whole team was invested in making sure I had a great experience. She is the third dentist that I have seen since the tooth started to bother me(roughly 5 years). For the better part of that time chewing on the other side of my mouth. "I went to Dr. Schestak way back in the early 1990s when I was young and totally broke, living in a dumpy little apartment in St. Paul. It’s now 2016, and my circumstances are vastly different, but I still remember the kindness and care with which Dr. S regarded me. I recall being completely stunned that he sat down with me - in advance of putting me in the treatment room - to ask about my oral health history, and to address any anxiety I might have about dental work. "I've been seeing Dr. Schestak for about 20 years. He has kept my mouth in good repair through preventative care and occasional fillings. He also fitted me with an occlusal splint that has nicely addressed some issues that I had with teeth grinding and jaw clenching. Finally, he made a timely and ultimately very helpful referral to a specialist for some issues I was having with my tongue and palate. Overall, Dr. Schestak is an excellent general dentist and an important member of my health care team."
